right in the feels.
things that are awesome:
- shoulder pain gone. I never put much thought into stretching my upper body for a run, apparently I should have been. Lesson learned.
- ran with another human being for the first time EVER this morning
- and he’s sexy
things that are not as awesome:
- it was 90% humidity and I became a huge baby about it way too quickly and ran like a fish.
Anyway, really great start to the week :) Couldn’t be happier.
I thought my 5k pr of 27:21 was pretty good until a friend of mine told me last week he would run them in about 17… challenge accepted (not that he even knows he challenged me)
So tonight, new pr: 23:10. Okay, now I feel slightly less horrible about myself for being in a way less embarrassing range.
Really I don’t care too much about my 5k time, this is the first time I’ve ever attempted to actually make a good time, and I definitely won’t be running that pace in the half. Good speed training I guess?
